Causes of the Russian-Turkish War of 1877-1878.

There were such main reasons:
Russia wanted to take revenge for the Crimean War in 1853-1856;
Increased the pressure of the Ottoman Empire on the Balkan peoples, they, in turn, began to resist and fight;
Russia sought to establish its influence over important straits;
The Russian Empire defended the Slavs in the Balkans.
