Characteristics of agriculture in France.

France has a rather mild climate, especially in the south, where summers are very hot and long, and winters are warm and short. Such weather conditions contribute to the development of agriculture. There are large plantations of wheat, barley, corn, rye, potatoes and rice. Many fruits are grown in the south. Animal husbandry is very well developed in the country, thanks to which there is a dairy production, including the production of famous cheeses. Some farms are engaged in oyster farming. The state has always been famous for its vineyard plantations and, accordingly, winemaking.
