Characteristics of the embryonic period.

The embryonic period takes place in the womb. This is one of the three stages of intrauterine development. During this period, an active formation of the organism takes place. In humans, this period begins with the beginning of the division of the gamete. The embryo develops rather slowly, but all changes are very intense. When the nervous system begins to form, about 25 million brain cells are formed every hour, and this number increases exponentially. Two months after conception, the embryo becomes a fetus.
