Characteristics of the main strata of the Old Russian population.

The main segments of the population in Russia:

1) Princes – represented the supreme power;

2) The squad. The boyars were the senior squad, and the junior squad was the administration.

3) The tribal nobility – represented the rich community members who were able to get rich;

4) The clergy – represented the ministers of the Christian church;

5) Artisans / merchants, community members – represented the bulk of the population;

6) Dependent population – this includes slaves, smerds, purchases and ordinary people – all of them were in a dependent position.
