Cities requiring a solution to environmental problems in Africa.

Kenya, Nairobi.
Over the past decades, the city’s population has tripled. The population is 3 million people, and there is only one dump for this entire city.
More than 1200 tons of waste are brought here every day.
Niger, Niamey.
By the end of the 1980s, the country’s main river became very dry and the government drilled 120 wells to provide drinking water. The population grew rapidly, but the technologies of water supply and sewerage remained the same. This also added uncontrolled deforestation and the detrimental impact of people on the surrounding nature. Today groundwater is contaminated with nitrates and bacteria. The problem of water quality is more serious here than anywhere else on Earth.
Ghana, Agbogbloshi.
It is home to the largest e-waste dump in the world. More than 200 thousand tons of e-waste is brought here every year.
