The culture of Ancient Rome is in many ways similar to the Greek, as it grew out of the ancient Greek culture. The same gods (but under different names), love for the theater, for competitions, for eloquence. But Roman culture was much closer to the poor, not as sublime as Greek. Sports have replaced gladiator fights and horse racing in the circus. The theater has become more accessible and more rude. The Romans highly developed the culture of hedonism, far ahead of the Greeks.
