Both the NEP and War Communism were aimed at reforming the economy, however, for this, during these policies, various methods were used.

Under war communism, industry is nationalized, everything becomes the property of the state. During the NEP, private capital, private property was allowed.

In the days of the NEP, labor was stimulated materially, hiring was allowed. Under military communism, labor conscription was introduced, labor armies were formed, and forced to work.
