Compare the goals of colonial politicians England, France, Germany.

Great Britain had colonies: Australia, separate states in America, India. England conducted such a policy that it siphoned out all the wealth from these countries – the dominions could not buy goods from other countries, and they could only sell raw materials to England. England behaved aggressively towards the indigenous people of America and Australia – they were oppressed, relocated to territories unsuitable for life, specially infected with European diseases, from which they did not have immunity.

The colonial policy of France was softer – she also tried to get rich at the expense of the colonies, but did not exterminate the local residents.

Germany in different periods had colonies in Africa, South America, and the islands of Oceania.

However, Germany realized that in many ways it was lagging behind other countries, which had much more colonies. Because of this, Germany started the First World War – it wanted to start a redivision of the world. As a result, after the war, its colonies were divided between the victor countries. For the second time, Germany turned its gaze to the eastern countries, including the USSR, and decided to seize it and make it its colony.
