Illumination belts can be divided into temperate, polar, tropical. The hottest place on earth is the equator. The sun shines here most of the day, and the coldest place is the polar zones of illumination and here the sun is least of all. Tropical and temperate zones are located between the equator and the polar zones of illumination. The tropical zones closer to the equator are less illuminated than the equator, but more than the temperate zones. They are also colder than the equator, but warmer than temperate.
