Compare the nature of the tundra and the nature of the arctic desert zone. What explains the similarities and differences?
Similarity: harsh conditions (long and cold winters, short cold summers). Both
the zones are close to the North Pole.
Difference: richer flora and fauna. The tundra zone is located
slightly south of the zone of arctic deserts, the surface of the earth warms up better,
more species of plants and animals.
