Compare the religions of the ancient Greeks and the ancient Egyptians. What united their beliefs?

They were united by the presence of a whole pantheon of gods. Each god was responsible for some of his “sphere of activity”. And therefore, almost every profession (and in Greece – every city) had a separate god. He was worshiped most of all. However, at the same time, there was no rewriting of myths, as in Mesopotamia, where that god became the eldest, who was the patron saint of the most powerful city that conquered all the rest. The most important god among the Greeks and Egyptians was the god who was responsible for the sky – thunderstorms, lightning and rains with the sun. Because the sky is always above a person. And he depends on him: will the climate be good or not.
