Traffic. Flagellates move by means of flagella, and rhizopods – by means of pseudopods.
Food. Roots and flagellates feed on algae, bacteria and other protozoa.
Structure. In flagellates, the body shape is constant due to the dense shell. Rhizopods, on the other hand, have a fickle body shape: they can change its shape and release and retract their pseudopods. Also, in rhizopods, the body is covered with a shell, which is not observed in flagellates.
