Compare the system of power in the USSR and the political system of Russia according to the following criteria: religion, human rights.

As for the USSR, the attitude to religious issues in this state was different at different stages of its existence. At some moments it came to open persecution of believers, destruction of places of worship, and so on. At times, the attitude was tolerant, but, in principle, an ideology aimed at atheizing the population was always pursued. Human rights were not always fulfilled, despite all the declarations – for example, the right to free movement was not fulfilled – citizens could not just leave the territory of the state, there were also problems with freedom of speech. In the Russian Federation, a policy of religious tolerance and religious pluralism is being pursued, so there are no significant problems in this matter. With regard to human rights, they are mostly implemented, but there are still problems with freedom of speech.
