Compare the wild ancestor of the animals under study with artificial breeds. Describe what are the similarities in the external structure and biological characteristics (fertility; behavior; susceptibility to disease) of these animals.

If we compare wild ancestors and modern artificially bred animal breeds, then you can immediately notice a number of distinctive features – for example, a changed body color, a difference in the size and dimensions of the animal, and with a more detailed study, it can be distinguished that if these are animals of a productive direction, then their productivity will be much more than that of their ancestors, since man, when creating artificial breeds, was interested in increasing their productivity. Of the positive qualities of ancestors, it is worth highlighting: strong immunity, better adaptation to climatic conditions and, as a result, better resistance to diseases. Artificially bred breeds were bred as a rule for any human needs or to improve existing breeds. Ancestors are animals that grew up in the wild, therefore their behavior is extremely different from their offspring. Wild animals are usually more aggressive, and due to the danger they are more fearful and careful. Fertility in ancestors is usually lower than that of artificially created their successors. This is usually explained by the fact that high fertility usually carries the threat of a shortage of feed, and, as a result, a high risk of offspring mortality. In conditions artificially created by humans, this usually does not threaten them.
