Comparisons, similarities and differences between the common viper and the snake.

| If we compare the common viper and the snake, we will see both similar features and different ones. They are similar in that both species are creeping reptiles and live in a similar area: in forests, meadows, near water bodies. Differences are observed in size – snakes are longer and thinner than vipers; in color – the snakes have yellow spots on the sides of the head, the viper does not have them; in the shape of a head – triangular in vipers, oval in snakes; the vipers are poisonous, no; snakes are not aggressive compared to the viper; the snakes do not have poisonous teeth, the viper does.
