Compose a story about the death of Pompeii. What other events in the history of Rome are associated with Vesuvius

The death of Pompeii is one of the most famous events in history. Pompey was considered a prosperous and commercial city of Rome, the rich came there to rest, as to a resort. The inhabitants of the city did not know that the active volcano Vesuvius is nearby, which soon destroyed the whole of Pompeii, burying people and houses under ashes. And they also did not know that with the help of plaster material they would be found only after hundreds of years in ruins, in the position that they died.
Vesuvius destroyed the UNESCO-listed cities of Herculaneum and Stabia.
