Comparisons:

1) The Medici were heavily dependent on the aristocrats. What was not in ancient Greece, where the king was the richest and most influential;

2) Power was in the hands of the king. At the same time, the Medici ruled the clan, and therefore, power was not concentrated in someone’s hands;

3) The Medici also depended on the Catholic Church. Therefore, they never opposed the Pope. On the other hand, the Greek kings did not depend on the priests at all. It should be noted that then the priesthood did not take part in the political life of the country.
