Could a commoner be depicted next to a god?

In Christianity, God is not portrayed at all. Saints, Apostles, or Jesus Christ are portrayed as the Messiah. However, Jesus was not God, he was only a messenger of God, his son on Earth. And so by birth he was a simple man, a commoner. And with saints they are often depicted on canvases and engravings. There are also people on the icons.
In Islam, people and animals cannot be portrayed at all. Therefore, there definitely could not be depicted God (Allah) or commoners. At least separately, at least together.
