In 1848, a revolution broke out in Germany. Its reasons were the dissatisfaction of the bourgeoisie with the privileged position of the nobles. The class of wealthy merchants was infringed upon by the state. They paid high taxes and did not play a role in government. Most of the population was outraged by the fragmented state and the protracted economic crisis. Therefore, a revolution took place in 1848-1849. The revolution was defeated, but the situation in the country began to improve, new capitalist reforms began to be introduced.
