This diagram describes the process of photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is the process of obtaining life energy from the energy of the sun, taking place in the green leaves of plants. Photosynthesis can occur in two phases: light and dark. The light phase takes place with the absorption of carbon dioxide and the release of oxygen by the plant. The dark phase begins when the plant enters an area where there is no sunlight. In this case, a slightly different process occurs, in which the plant begins to consume oxygen and emit carbon dioxide.
