Birds have a digestive system that is slightly different from that of humans. The differences are also related to the food that the birds eat. Some birds feed on plants and some are carnivores. Because of this, different species release different digestive enzymes. Birds have a short esophagus, goiter, stomach and intestines. Their reproductive and digestive systems open into the cloaca. Birds have no teeth. The beak is adapted to a specific food. For example – the sharpened beak of falcons for eating meat.
