Describe the Amazon basin.

The Amazon basin in its territory surpasses all other rivers on the planet. It lies in three climatic zones (from equatorial to tropical) and begins to form high in the mountains. But the main area of the basin is occupied by the lower reaches, which is also the largest on Earth. In the center of the lower reaches, the main river flows from west to east, to which hundreds of large and small tributaries join from all sides. Many of them are navigable and are the main route for the movement of goods through the forest.
