Describe the biological role of body homeostasis.

Homeostasis is an important characteristic of living things. Maintaining a stable internal environment requires constant adjustments as conditions change inside and outside the cell. The regulation of systems within the cell is called homeostatic regulation. Since the internal and external environment of the cell is constantly changing, it is necessary to constantly make adjustments to stay at or near the set point (normal level or range). Homeostasis can be seen as a dynamic equilibrium rather than a permanent, unchanging state.
