Describe the change in the position of the USSR in the international arena after 1945?

Since 1945, the USSR has become one of the two poles of the bipolar world during the Cold War. He was among the countries that created the UN and entered its Security Council. In 1971, during the vote on Resolution 2758, the USSR supported China, even despite the deteriorated relations after 1960, the PRC received a seat in the UN Security Council instead of Taiwan.

On the other hand, the Cold War began in 1946. First, a bloc of NATO and the FRG appeared, which soon became part of it, and the USSR soon created the OVD.

In the late 1940s, the prestige of the USSR in the international arena also grew and Russian became a working language at the UN.
