Describe the climate of the East European Plain

The East European Plain covers an area belonging to several climatic zones. Mainly covered by a temperate zone, the extreme north is subarctic, and some southern territories are subtropical. Since the Caucasus Range from the south and the Ural Mountains from the east create a natural barrier, the North Atlantic and the Arctic have a strong influence on the region. Air masses penetrate from these regions, often cold and humid, due to which there is a lot of precipitation and a low annual temperature.
