Describe the importance of the regulation system in the life of the organism?

The human body is made up of trillions of cells that work together to support the entire body. While cells, tissues, and organs can perform a wide variety of functions, all cells in the body are similar in their metabolic needs. Maintaining a constant internal environment by providing cells with what they need for their survival (oxygen, nutrients and waste disposal) is necessary for the well-being of individual cells and the entire body. Many of the processes by which the body controls its internal environment are collectively referred to as homeostasis. Additional activity of the main body systems is supported by homeostasis.
