Ancient Egypt was located on a large plain, where a dry and warm climate prevailed. The whole life of Egypt depended on the large Nile River, which flowed through the entire country. The ancient Egyptians founded their cities along the river, where they developed their economy. So the Nile River basin was a fertile land. Remote areas of Egypt resembled a desert or steppe with dried grass or desert dunes.
