Describe the policy of war communism and what methods the Bolshevik party used to strengthen its power.
The Bolsheviks were building a new state where equality, freedom and brotherhood would prevail. The gains of the October Revolution had to be defended and won in the Civil War. The Bolshevik Government developed a new tactic to achieve its goals – “War Communism”.
1. Centralization of all power.
2. Subordination of the entire economy to the state.
3. Industrial enterprises were taken over by the state.
4. Eradication of private production, trade.
5. Nationalization of important areas of agriculture.
6. All factories, factories were transferred to military orders of the state.
7. All-Russian equality of all strata of the population.
The introduction of “War Communism” fully justified the radical actions of the Leninist government. The young republic won and began to improve the life of a new socialist society.
