Describe the process of soil formation.

Soil formation is the interaction of living and inanimate nature. The soil is composed of inorganic and organic matter. The inorganic substrate of the soil is dust, sand, clay, everything that is formed as a result of weathering of the rock. The organic substrate is the dead remains of plants and animals that feed on and recycle numerous bacteria and other lower life forms. Mixing these two substrates produces soil.
