Describe the role of the Huns and Goths in the history of the Slavs.

In the 3rd century, the Goths became very strong. They were able to occupy the western part of the territory of present-day Ukraine and settle on the Dnieper. In this connection, the Sarmatian tribes were essentially killed. The rest of the tribes were taxed. The major capital of the Goths was the city of Danpastard, which stood on the Dniester. In the second half of the 4th century, the ancient Slavs (Antes) made an attempt to get rid of the oppression of the Goths, but it ended in failure. Only with the arrival of the Huns in 374 did another major battle take place, where the Goths were defeated and driven back to the west.
