Describe the sequence of the soil formation process

Stage 1. Weathering of rocks, under the influence of water, air and natural factors.
Stage 2. Lichens and mosses are settled. As a result of their vital activity, a layer of dark powdery material appears – fine earth. It fills cracks in boulders and creates conditions for propagation of roots of “rocky” plants in cracks.
Stage 3. Gradual transformation of homogeneous rock into soil, divided into horizontal layers, which together form a soil profile.
