Describe the structural features of the heart in connection with its functions.

The role and purpose of the heart in the human body is to pump blood daily. For this, it has cavities in which this very blood is located. In order to pump it, the heart must be a strong pump – for this, the heart wall consists of thick and strong muscle. The heart must contract on its own, no matter what. For this, it has a sinus node. These are the cells that create the impulse needed for each heartbeat. In order for the impulse to spread throughout the muscle tissue of the heart, there are pathways in it. These are the thinnest nerve fibers through which a nerve impulse is transmitted from the sinus node to every cell of the heart.
