Describe what is produced in different buds of gymnosperms.

On the branches of gymnosperms, two types of cones grow: greenish (at the base of young branches), and reddish (at the tops of young branches). When both types of bumps ripen, a finger appears from the greenish ones, which the wind carries over long distances. And in the reddish bumps, two ovules appear. Getting into them, the finger pollinates the reddish cones, their scales close, sticking together with resin. During the summer and fall, the buds grow, changing color from reddish to green and then to brown. After ripening, they open and the seeds ripened in them fall to the ground.
