Determine the acceleration of a vehicle with a mass of 5 tons, if the thrust force of the engines is 5500 N, the force of resistance to movement is 5000N.
Fres = ma-resulting force (sum of force vectors)
The traction force acts in the direction of movement, the resistance is obviously against.
Then Fres = 5500-5000 = 500 H
Dividing by mass we have: a = F / m = 500/5000 (tons converted to kg) = 0.1 m / s ^ 2
