The name of the East European Plain speaks for itself; it is located in the eastern part of the European Plain. It is washed by the waters of the White and Barents Seas from the northern part, but from the southern part it is washed by the Black, Azov and Caspian Seas. From the northwest it is bordered by the Scandinavian mountains, and the mountains of Central Europe are in the west and southwest.
