Determine the resistance of the external circuit in which, with an EMF equal to 24V and a current strength of 4A, the internal resistance is 2 ohms.
Given:
E = 24V
r = 2 Ohm
I = 4A
Find R
According to Ohm’s law for a complete circuit
I = E / (R + r)
From here
R = (E – I * r) / I = E / I – r = 24/4 – 2
R = 4 ohms
