Determine the volume of the resulting PF5, if 6.72 liters of fluorine entered the reaction

| Let’s write the reaction equation:
2P + 5F2 = 2PF5
Amount of substance F2:
v (F2) = V (F2) / Vm = 6.72 / 22.4 = 0.3 (mol).
According to the reaction equation, for 5 mol of F2, 2 mol of PF5 are formed, therefore:
v (PF5) = v (F2) * 2/5 = 0.3 * 2/5 = 0.12 (mol).
Thus, the volume PF5 measured under normal conditions (n.o.):
V (PF5) = v (PF5) * Vm = 0.12 * 22.4 = 2.688 = 2.7 (l).
