Reaction equation: H2 + Cl2 = 2HCl
Since the volumes of the reacting and resulting gases under the same conditions are proportional to the quantities of these substances indicated in the reaction equation (stoichiometric coefficients), then V (Cl2): V (HCl) = n (Cl2): n (HCl) or 5 m3: V (HCl ) = 1 mol: 2 mol. Hence V (HCl) = 5 * 2 = 10 m3.
