| Determine what voltage should be applied to the ends of the conductor, if a current of 2 amp is flowing through it, voltage is 380v, so that the current is 4 amp.
To solve the problem, we apply Ohm’s law for a section of the circuit. First, we determine the resistance of the conductor from the formula:
I = U / R,
Where:
I = 2 A. – current of the electric circuit;
U = 380 V. – voltage at the ends of the conductor.
R = U / I = 380/2 = 190 Ohm.
In order for the electric current to pass through the conductor with a force of I = 4 amperes, a voltage must be applied to the ends of the conductor, determined by the formula:
U = I * R = 4 * 190 = 760 V.
Answer: voltage U = 760 V.
