Dictatorial regime in Latin America 1929-1933

1929-1933 were the years of the Great Depression in Latin America. Political life was distinguished by tough dictatorial regimes. Despite the fact that some economically backward countries were declared republics, an authoritarian regime reigned in them. All power was in the hands of the local oligarchy. After the wars in the most developed countries, such as Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, the liberal democratic forces began to gain momentum.
