Differences between a peasant war and a peasant uprising?

The peasant war and the peasant uprising are forms of expression of protest by the inhabitants of the Russian state, in which mainly peasants participate. The terms differ in that the peasant war is much broader than the uprising. It covers a huge territory and a large number of people. For example, the uprising of Ivan Bolotnikov in 1605-1606, the uprising of Cotton Kosolap, is considered a peasant uprising.
