Differences between a plant cell and an animal.

The main difference between a plant cell and an animal is associated with the presence of green plastids in it – chloroplasts. Chloroplasts contain chlorophyll pigment, which allows photosynthesis. Therefore, plants are autotrophs.

Above the membrane in plant cells, there is a cell wall made of cellulose, which performs a supporting function.

In plant cells, the Golgi complex is poorly developed, since the main supply of nutrients is located in vacuoles in the form of solutions or in leukocytes (starch).
