Where some get richer, others get poorer. The standard of living of ordinary workers fell and people who did not have enough money to buy food started the “Rice Riot”. He was suppressed, but sowed anti-war sentiment throughout the empire.

In 1932 there was an uprising of soldiers, which was also suppressed, but managed to strengthen the influence of the militarists. Until the end of World War II, the influence of the militarists was huge, but after 1946, under pressure from the United States, Japan had to go through democratization.
