Probably, we are talking about a completely fantastic (both according to the brands of that time and according to our ideas) project of building icebergs-airfields and aircraft carriers from ice. Initially, it was just about “cutting off” the tops of icebergs, later – about the construction of ships from ice blocks (!) Such projects were seriously considered in Great Britain, even sea trials were undertaken (ended in failure). In addition, it turned out that the construction of ships from practically “free” material was far from cheap, and the “ice” projects were curtailed.
