Dynasty of the first Frankish rulers.

The first Franxist rulers were from the Merovingian dynasty, also known as the “Long-haired Kings”. Historically, the first leader is Childeric I (approximately 457-481), the son of Meroveus (from whom the name of the dynasty originated). In the Middle Ages, there was a belief that Merovei was the fruit of a woman’s love with a sea monster, therefore its existence is in question.
