Each of the two sides of the triangle is 2 cm and the third side is x cm. Write as an expression the perimeter of the triangle, whose third side is 3 times larger than the given one.

According to the condition of the problem, in this triangle, the lengths of the two sides are 2 cm each, and the length of the third side is x cm.

If in another triangle the third side is 3 times larger than that of this one, and the lengths of the other two sides are the same as in this triangle, then the lengths of the sides in the other triangle are, respectively, 2 cm, 2 cm and 3 * x cm.

The perimeter of any triangle is equal to the sum of the lengths of all three sides of this triangle, therefore, the perimeter p of another triangle is:

p = 2 + 2 + 3 * x = 4 + 3x cm.

Answer: the perimeter of such a triangle is 4 + 3x cm.
