Endocrine glands secrete hormones, and where do they go?

The endocrine glands do not have excretory ducts. Therefore, after excretion from the endocrine glands, hormones enter the internal environment of the body – blood, lymph and tissue fluid. Entering the blood, they are distributed throughout the body and carry out humoral regulation of the functions of organs and tissues, while changing their activity, accelerating or inhibiting their work. The spectrum of action of hormones on body systems is very high. They are necessary for the normal development of the body, and regulate the rate of metabolic reactions, the intensity of the processes of obtaining and spending energy.
