Examples of the harm and benefits of inertia.
Inertia is the body’s ability to maintain its speed for some time.
Examples of the benefits of inertia:
1. During firing from a gun – a bullet fired from a gun flies by inertia;
2. Playing basketball or football. The player hit the ball. Then the ball flies by inertia;
3. Children’s toy whirligig. After being unwound by a person, it continues to spin by inertia.
Examples of harm to inertia:
1. A car moves along the road at high speed, if a person or an animal suddenly runs out of the bushes, the driver cannot instantly brake, because the car continues to move by inertia;
2. The skate goes straight, but you need to turn, however, it will move forward by inertia;
3. A man rides a horse. The horse stops abruptly, and the rider continues to move forward by inertia. He flies out of the saddle.
