Explain how the auricle is formed in owls and what they need it for.

Different owls have different ears. The most common are internal ones. Like humans, these are left and right holes. In different directions from the holes, the vertebrae branch off and can even reach the bone marrow. The auditory space is equipped with feathers and folds of skin. Due to this sensitive structure, owls hear very quiet sounds and low frequencies that even humans cannot hear.
