Explain the importance of the existence of the state for the life of society?

Society needs the state to establish order in the country, to control people’s lives. The state adopts laws and monitors their implementation.
The development of a civilized society is impossible without state power.
The state does a lot of useful things:
– protects the territory of the country and the peoples who inhabit it from the invasion of the enemy;
– provides citizens with the necessary standard of living;
– protects human rights and freedoms;
– helps its citizens in case of disability, unemployment, illness.
